At ActionAid Afghanistan, our commitment to advancing social justice, women's rights, and resilience is rooted in deep collaboration with the communities we serve. Our core constituencies reflect the diverse and interconnected groups most affected by poverty, inequality, and disaster vulnerabilities in Afghanistan. Through strategic partnerships and grassroots engagement, we ensure that their voices, needs, and aspirations guide our interventions.
Our Priorities
Emergency response and resilience
Amidst insecurity and conflict, Afghanistan continues to be highly prone to natural disasters such as flooding, extreme cold in winter, avalanches, landslide, earthquakes and drought.
Livelihoods
Agriculture is the mainstay of national economy of Afghanistan and the main source of livelihood of the people, yet agriculture continues to remain rudimentary and subsistence.
Women Rights
In Afghanistan, women and Girls are excluded and marginalized in the society. Lack of rights awareness, patriarchal mindset, unequal power relation between women & men perpetuate women’s vulnerability and exclusion.
