Women Rights
In Afghanistan, women and girls are excluded and marginalized in the society. Lack of rights awareness, patriarchal mindset, unequal power relation between women & men perpetuate women’s vulnerability and exclusion. Successive studies have proved that Afghanistan has one of the world’s highest rates of violence against women. Women who live in poverty are at greater risk in Afghanistan.
Our work in Afghanistan promotes greater awareness among women, Men, Girls and Boys about rights of the women, bring together all stakeholders viz. youth, community and religious leaders to prevent and fight violence against women, promote and strengthen marginalized women’s agencies, and facilitate economic empowerment of women and girls.
