Cash Assistance Reaches Over 1,600 Vulnerable Families in Sancharak District of Sar e Pul province

A total of 1,607 vulnerable households in Sancharak district of Sar -e- pul province have successfully received multi-purpose cash assistance under the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund – Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (AHF-MPCA) project. The distribution, carried out with full attendance and transparency, marks a significant milestone in providing essential support to families facing economic hardships.

The cash distribution was conducted with the presence of local stakeholders and village elders, ensuring accountability and transparency throughout the process. All targeted households were verified on- site and received their full cash entitlements without issue. Importantly, no protection or access concerns were reported, and special provisions were made to accommodate people with disabilities (PwDs) during the activity.

In total, 1,215 low-risk vulnerable households received AFN 10,225 each, equivalent to approximately USD 150. Meanwhile, 392 high-risk vulnerable households were provided with AFN 12,270 each, or around USD 180. The total amount distributed reached AFN 17,233,215.

This initiative is part of a broader humanitarian response, with a follow-up cash distribution planned in the coming two weeks in Gosfandi District. The upcoming round will target an additional 1,098 households, including 837 low-risk and 261 high-risk vulnerable families.
