ActionAid Afghanistan Hosts Two-Day Workshop to Empower Staff and Consortium Partners in CFM, Safeguarding, Localization, and Inclusion

ActionAid Afghanistan recently organized a comprehensive two-day workshop aimed at empowering its staff, consortium partners, and local organizations. The workshop focused on critical areas such as safeguarding, complaint feedback mechanisms (CFM), localization, inclusion, and gender and women's rights. Bringing together a total of 30 individuals from various local and consortium partners, including BBC Media Action, AADA, BBC-MEDIA/Begum Radio, ACF, AWEC, Nai Qalha, and ActionAid staff, the event proved to be a valuable platform for knowledge and skill enhancement.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Srikanta Misra, the Country Director of ActionAid, Afghanistan, warmly welcomed the participants and focused on importance of the encouraged them to share the knowledge and skills gained during the workshop with their families and respective communities. This exchange of knowledge promises to contribute to the betterment of the communities they serve.

Mr.  Simon Wankuru the Head of Programs at ActionAid, Afghanistan, also extended a warm welcome to the participants and he encouraged the participants to exchange their knowledge and experiences, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

The workshop covered a wide range of topics, employing interactive sessions, group activities, and expert-led presentations. Through these engaging methods, participants acquired valuable insights and practical knowledge to address the unique challenges faced in their respective regions.

One of the participants, Faiza Hazim, who works as a producer at BBC-MEDIA/Begum Radio, expressed her gratitude for attending the event. She stated, "I am truly thankful for the opportunity to participate in this training workshop. The knowledge and skills I have acquired here will undoubtedly contribute to the betterment of our community. I eagerly look forward to implementing these learnings and making a positive impact."

With participants expressing their commitment to applying their newfound knowledge and skills in their daily work, the training workshop concluded with the awarding of certificates of completion to all participants.
