Program Quality Assessment (PQA) Workshop Strengthens Commitment to Quality Programming

ActionAid, Afghanistan successfully organized a Program Quality Assessment (PQA) Workshop on 21–22 June 2026 at its Main Office in Kabul. The two-day workshop brought together 27 participants from across the organization to review and assess our programs against ActionAid's 12 Program Quality Standards. The assessment was facilitated by the PQA team under the leadership of Mr. Amish, MEL and Program Quality Advisor, ActionAid Global, using a participatory and evidence-based approach.

The assessment reaffirmed ActionAid Afghanistan's strong commitment to delivering high-quality, rights-based, and people-centered programming. The findings showed that the organization is effectively applying all 12 Program Quality Standards in its work, ensuring that interventions are inclusive, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. Our programs continue to prioritize and empower women, girls, youth, children, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and other marginalized and vulnerable groups, helping them realize their rights and improve their quality of life.

Beyond assessing performance, the workshop created a valuable platform for learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Participants reflected on achievements, shared good practices, and identified opportunities to further strengthen program quality and organizational effectiveness. ActionAid, Afghanistan remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality and accountability while advancing its mission to support the most vulnerable communities across Afghanistan with dignity, equity, and lasting impact.
