ActionAid’s Cash Support Empowers Women Entrepreneurs in Khost

Khost Province -ActionAid, Afghanistan, with financial support from UNDP, has distributed cash assistance to 30 women operating medium enterprises across Khost Centre, Sabari, Qalandar, and Spera districts.

Each selected beneficiary received 69,440 AFN, totalling 2,083,200 AFN disbursed. The distribution was carried out in an organized and transparent manner, and all accountability procedures were followed.

The assistance aims to help women sustain and expand their businesses, increase household income, and promote economic empowerment. The exercise ran smoothly, with beneficiaries attending on time and expressing appreciation for the support. Many reported that the assistance will directly improve their businesses and family livelihoods.

“The cash support arrived at a critical time for my business,” said Gull Jan a participant from Sabari district. “With this money I can restock supplies and better meet customer demand this will make a real difference for my family.”

The successful completion of this cash distribution is expected to strengthen local enterprises and reinforce community trust in the UNDP-funded initiative.
