ActionAid West Region Team Supports Earthquake-Affected Livestock Owners with livestock Package Tools in Injil and Zindajan Districts

In a commendable effort to aid households affected by the devastating magnitude 6.2 earthquake that struck in October 2023, the ActionAid, Afghanistan West Region team distributed livestock package tools to 767 out of the planned 4,000 households in the Injil and Zindajan districts of Herat province,

This initiative, carried out under the FAO earthquake response project, aimed to provide support to livestock owners in these districts. The affected households had previously received vital assistance in the form of livestock animal feed packages to ensure the survival of their animals. Unfortunately, the earthquake resulted in the loss of all feeder stock and caused significant damage to their living spaces and livestock protection infrastructure. By distributing essentials, the AAA West Region team is helping these households resume their farming activities and rebuild their lives.

It is worth mentioning that the AAA West Region team continues its dedicated efforts to support the recovery journey of the earthquake-affected households.
