ActionAid Afghanistan Hosts a Three-Day Workshop Empowering Field Staff, for the staff of Consortium and Local Partners in Health, Food Security, and WASH

ActionAid Afghanistan organized a comprehensive three-day workshop aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills in critical areas such as health, food security, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). The event brought together a total of 50 individuals from local and consortium partners, including World Vision, BBC Media Action, Action Against Hunger, AWEC, and Nai Qalha, as well as various stakeholders.

Participants from Daikundi, Ghor, Herat, Nangarhar, and Kabul provinces are attending the workshop, which provides a unique opportunity to strengthen their expertise in these crucial fields.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Srikanta Misra the Country Director of ActionAid, Afghanistan, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to share the knowledge and skills acquired during the workshop with the communities they are part of, thereby contributing to their betterment.

The workshop covers a wide range of topics, including health and hygiene practices, nutrition guidelines, community development strategies, and effective implementation of WASH initiatives. Through interactive sessions, group activities, and expert-led presentations, participants gain valuable insights and practical knowledge to tackle the unique challenges faced by their respective regions.

Shakilla , a participant from Ghor province, expressed her gratitude for attending the event, stating, "I am truly thankful for the opportunity to participate in this training workshop. The knowledge and skills I have acquired here will undoubtedly contribute to the betterment of our community. I eagerly look forward to implementing these learnings and making a positive impact."

The event also fosters networking and knowledge-sharing among participants from different provinces and organizations. The collaborative environment encourages the exchange of ideas, enabling attendees to learn from one another's experiences and build strong connections.

With participants expressing their commitment to applying their newfound knowledge and skills in their daily work, the training workshop will conclude with the awarding of certificates of completion to the participants.
